Guelph United women slip by NDC Ontario in L1 Cup
A goal midway through the first half stood up as the lone goal of the game as Guelph United surprised NDC Ontario 1-0 in League1 Ontario L1 Cup women’s soccer play Tuesday at the Centennial Bowl.
Olivia Brown connected for the goal in the 24th minute.
Breanne Carreiro picked up the shutout in the Guelph net.
NDC Ontario had defeated United 2-0 April 26 in the league opener for both teams.
United is to play FC London in the quarter-finals June 12 at 9 p.m. at London’s Tricar Field.
