Guelph United’s losing streak continues
Guelph United suffered their sixth consecutive setback as they were downed 3-1 by Cambridge United Wednesday night at Centennial Bowl.
Noah Medeiros scored for Cambridge in the game’s third minute and Evan Antolcic scored in the 24th minute to give the visitors a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Guelph’s Markell Saddler tallied in the 85th minute to cut the gap to a single goal, but Christian Ferraro added the third goal for Cambridge one minute into second-half stoppage time.
Next up for Guelph United is a home game against Master’s FA Sunday at 6 p.m. at Centennial Bowl. It’s to be the second game of a Guelph United doubleheader as Guelph United’s OPL 1 women’s team is to host North Toronto at 2:30 p.m.
