Hespeler Shamrocks surrender victory to Paris

PARIS – The Paris Titans struck for at least one goal in each period as they claimed a 4-1 victory over the Hespeler Shamrocks in Provincial Junior Hockey League play Saturday night at the Brant Sports Complex.

Paris scored the lone goal of the first period before the Shamrocks tied it before the second period was five minutes old. However, the Titans tallied twice later in the period and added a third-period goal to complete the scoring.

Jack Restauri had the goal for Hespeler while assists on the goal went to Boden White and Andrew Harris.

Tyler Crisostomo scored twice for Paris while Bhrett Hibbert and Owen Lalonde also scored. James Patterson assisted on two of the goals while Eric Tuori, Aiden Leblanc and Ethan Arrojado had one assist apiece.

The Shamrocks outshot the Titans 38-35, but were scoreless on six power plays while Paris was 1-for-6 on its power play.

Lucas Hillert had 31 saves for Hespeler while Ryan Burroughs had 37 for Paris.

Woodstock Navy Vets lead the Doherty Division at 11-1-1-0 and they’re followed by the New Hamburg Firebirds at 10-3-1-0, Tavistock Braves at 7-5-0-0, Norwich Merchants at 5-7-1-0, the Shamrocks at 5-7-0-0, Wellesley Applejacks at 4-7-0-0 and Paris at 2-10-1-0.

The Shamrocks and Titans are to meet again next Saturday at Paris at 7:30 p.m.
