Home squads win in D10 boys’ volleyball quarter-finals

GUELPH – No surprises in either senior or junior play in the District 10 high school boys’ volleyball quarter-finals Monday as each match was won by the home side.

Home teams were the higher-seeded teams in each match with the top four at the conclusion of the regular season for both eight-team leagues gained home-court advantage in the quarter-finals.

Senior winners were the first-place Ross Royals, second-place Centennial Spartans, third-place Lourdes Crusaders and fourth-place Guelph CVI Green Gaels.

Junior winners were first-place Ross, second-place Centennial, third-place Centre Wellington Falcons and fourth-place Lourdes.

Semifinals in both leagues are to go Wednesday at either Ross or Centennial with each match having a 4 p.m. starting time.

In senior, Ross is to host GCVI while Centennial is to host Lourdes.

In junior, Lourdes is to play at Ross and Centre Wellington is to play at Centennial.

Semifinal winners are to advance to Monday’s championship matches at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre. Junior final is to start at 6 p.m. and the senior final is to follow around 8 p.m.
