Patriots blanked by Hanover in Game 2 of Pollock final

The Mount Forest Patriots were blanked 4-0 by the Hanover Barons Saturday in Provincial Junior Hockey League play Saturday at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex.

The result ties the best-of-seven Pollock Division final 1-1.

Hanover scored twice in the first period and had single goals in the second and third periods.

Derek Hartley had 22 saves to get the shutout for Hanover.

Drayton Howell and Alex McGillivray had two goals apiece for Hanover while Kyle Maloney had three assists, Curtis Arnold had two and McGillivray had one.

Marshall Nicholls had 41 saves for the Patriots.

Third game of the series is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hanover’s P and H Centre.
