Royals’ game in Barrie postponed to end of month

BARRIE – The Guelph Royals had their second consecutive Intercounty Baseball League road game postponement due to inclement weather Thursday.

The Royals were to have played the Barrie Baycats at Barrie’s Vintage Throne Stadium, but Thursday’s rain forced the game to be postponed.

The match has been rescheduled to Sunday, July 30. Game time is 7:35 p.m.

The Royals were also to have played the Hamilton Cardinals in Hamilton last Sunday, but poor weather forced its postponement, too. No rescheduled date has been announced.

The Royals are sixth in the eight-team league at 7-13. Welland Jackfish lead at 16-6 and are followed by Barrie at 13-6, Kitchener Panthers at 13-8, Hamilton at 12-8, Toronto Maple Leafs at 12-9, the Royals, London Majors at 6-12 and Brantford Red Sox at 2-19.
