Royals sit atop both pools in D4/10 girls’ rugby

District 4/10 high school girls’ rugby’s two Royals’ squads remained undefeated and atop their respective pools following play Monday and Tuesday.

The Ross Royals lead Pool B after their third win in as many outings as they defeated the Centre Wellington Falcons at Ross Tuesday.

A day earlier at Erin, the Centre Dufferin Royals of Shelburne collected their second win in as many games as they downed the host Erin Raiders.

Teams in the league are to participate in Thursday’s Centennial Cup tournament at Centennial CVI before completing the league’s regular season next week.

 

Ross 19 Centre Wellington 5

M. Lecompte, K. Van Lankveld and S. Young each scored a try for Ross while M. Hagarty added two converts.

Whoever wore jersey 13 for Centre Wellington scored the try for the Falcons.

 

Centre Dufferin 32 Erin 5

Individual scoring details from Monday’s game were not reported.

Centre Dufferin scored five tries while Erin had one.

 

Bishop Macdonell 29 St. James 5

Monday, Mckenna Petti led Bishop Mac with a pair of tries.

Teigan M. had the try for St. James.

 

Guelph CVI 42 Centennial 5

Jules Mann struck for two tries and a convert for GCVI while single tries were added by Gwen Rankin, Samantha Aljoe, Kara Babulic, Lauren Laubach, Madalyn McCann and Lily Evans in Monday’s match.

Marley Daniels had the try for Centennial.
