Senior Spartans take close one from Lions, stay in second
GUELPH – The Centennial Spartans kept their grip on second place in the District 10 high school senior boys’ volleyball league Thursday by getting by the St. James Lions in a lengthy four-set match.
The Spartans and Lions battled fairly evenly with Centennial prevailing 3-1.
The win leaves Centennial at 10-2 and St. James at 5-7.
Ross Royals lead at 11-1 while the Lourdes Crusaders are third at 9-3, Guelph CVI Green Gaels are fourth at 6-6 and Centre Wellington Falcons are tied with St. James at 5-7. Bishop Macdonell Celtics are at 2-10 and Orangeville Bears are at 0-12.
