Single-goal victory clinches first in senior soccer for Erin

ERIN – Erin Raiders clinched a first-place finish in the District 4 high school senior boys’ soccer league’s standings by edging the Norwell Varsity Reds Wednesday on the Erin Public School field.

Braedon Haddow scored both goals for the Raiders while P. Dineen scored for Norwell.

While Erin and the Centre Dufferin Royals tied for top spot with identical 5-2-1 records, Erin won the tiebreaker by defeating the Royals 3-0 Oct. 2 Centre Dufferin had edged Erin 2-1 Monday, but Erin takes the tiebreaker with their three-goal win

Aaron Newell had the goal for Centre Dufferin while Jaipol Deol picked up the shutout.
