Two mini-tourney wins apiece for three senior volleyball teams

PALMERSTON – Three of the four District 4 high school senior boys’ volleyball teams gathered at the Norwell District Secondary School for the league’s regular-season mini tournament there Wednesday claimed two victories and one loss apiece.

Emmanuel Christian Eagles, Westside Thunder and Wellington Heights Wolverines all kept pace with one another and all stand tied for second at 3-2.

Odd team out was the host Norwell Varsity Reds who lost three matches and are sixth at 0-5.

Centre Dufferin Royals and Erin Raiders were idle. The Royals lead the league at 5-0 while Erin is fifth at 1-4.

Next league mini tournament is set for next Wednesday at Emmanuel Christian.
