U18 Junior Gryphs edge Waterloo to open OSFL play

Guelph Junior Gryphons had a win in three outings in Ontario Summer Football League play at the University of Waterloo’s Warriors Stadium.

The U18 Junior Gryphs slipped by the Waterloo Junior Warriors 11-7 Friday night.

In Saturday’s doubleheader, Waterloo downed the Junior Gryphs 55-14 in the U14 match and 25-0 in the U16 game.

Next week, the U10 Junior Gryphs are to play the Durham Dolphins Saturday at Beverley Morgan Park in Pickering, the U14 Junior Gryphs are to host the Niagara Generals Saturday at 10 a.m. at Alumni Stadium, the U16 Junior Gryphs are to host North Halton Crimson Tide Saturday at 1 p.m. at Alumni Stadium and U18 Junior Gryphs are to host North Halton Saturday at 4 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
