
United ties North Mississauga to keep unbeaten record
MISSISSAUGA – Guelph United remained unbeaten in League1 Ontario Men’s Premier soccer play as they fought North Mississauga SC to a 1-1 standoff Friday night at Mattamy Sports Park.
All the scoring in the game was limited to a span of about five minutes midway through the first half.

Leo Shrimpton opened the scoring for United in the 27th minute as he beat North Mississauga goalkeeper Omeed Naeemy on a challenge for the ball on a long feed by Colin Gander.
North Mississauga pulled even shortly thereafter on a goal by Frank Previte on a free kick.
After that, no other shots found their way into the meshing behind goalkeepers Carter Robart of United and Naeemy of North Mississauga.
The result leaves United at 4-0-3 and North Mississauga at 2-4-2.
Next up for United is a match against St. Catharines Roma (1-6-0) next Sunday (June 11) at the Centennial Bowl. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
